TV aerial installation and repairs
From single room installations to multi-point systems, we aim to provide the best service to meet your Freeview needs. EE, YouView, BT Vision or Freeview built-in to your TV. We have the aerials and expertise to make them run flawlessly. Signal problems or pictures breaking up? We can come and check your current aerial out with a signal meter and see if we can repair it. Freesat Installations
Freesat is the alternative to Freeview. While Freeview is provided via a TV aerial, Freesat is provided via a satellite dish. Some areas have poor reception from TV aerials because of distance from the transmitter or obstructions which limit the number of channels you can receive. Freesat is ideal in these areas because as long as you have clear unobstructed sky to aim a satellite dish you can get the full range of free-to-air channels. Satellite dish installations and repairs
Fitting Sky since it came out (they were some big heavy dishes back then lol) and continuing to fit the latest dishes now. Whether it’s Sky HD or Sky Q. We can do the satellite dish installs that sky engineers can’t, we can even fit your dish to the chimney. If there is a way to neatly fit your satellite dish with excellent signal quality, we will find it. No signal? The dish could’ve been blown out of alignment in strong winds or the l.n.b has gone faulty; we can test out your dish and identify any problems and fix it there and then. Starlink Installation Service
If you are tired of BT broadband speeds or your current provider just isn’t fast or reliable enough. Starlink is a game changer with upload speeds of 10-20mb and download speeds of 50-200mb. You as the customer would go directly to Starlinks website link provided here. If you are wanting to split this into a mesh system, please get the ethernet adapter when you purchase the equipment otherwise you may have to wait up to 6 weeks for it. Once you have a delivery confirmation, you can give us a call and we can arrange to fit your Starlink dish on chimney’s, gable end’s, garage’s, gym’s just about anywhere with a clear line of sight above the dish. TV wall mounting
More people nowadays are having their TV’s hung on the wall. We offer a bespoke TV wall mounting service. From 32″ to 75″, flat walls, plaster board walls, recesses or corners. We can fit them all with a bracket to achieve your ideal vision of a neat and professional TV wall mount. We have been asked more than once about what the correct TV size is for a lounge or bedroom. A really good way for you to decide is measure the distance you will be viewing the TV from to where you want to mount the TV. If it is 64″ away or under 6ft a 32″ TV is big enough, 100″ away or under 9ft a 50″ TV is big enough. They are just rough guides and ultimately the choice is yours. We don’t pressure you into having the work done, we are more than happy to survey the job and discuss all options and ways to do your job, including ways you may not have thought of. Then you can take as much time as you need to think about all the options available. At the end of the day, it’s more important that you’re happy with the work you want doing, rather than pay for a job you can’t stand. We will find every possible way to hide cables because you don’t want cables spoiling your house and neither do we. As strange as it may sound, we have to be happy with the job as well, something looking out of place would haunt us forever lol. Q. Tv picture breaking up?
A. Tv picture breaking up on some channels, pictures breaking up in blocks, squares and coloured ribbons? Only a few things can go wrong, the aerial is old and outdated. The aerial is damaged or has been moved in high winds. Or the cable is at fault through age or damage. If you are running multiple points with a distribution system, that could have over heated, developed a fault or is no longer fit for purpose.
Q. Can I split my existing aerial?
A. As long as you are in a good reception area and the aerial is capable then yes you can. However other things are important as well, is the aerial under 10 years old? The typical lifespan of an aerial is 10-20 years, do you want to add to an old tv aerial. A new TV aerial installation provides you with a new aerial, new double screened coax cable to reduce any interference caused by 4G and 5G Telephone towers.
Q. Does Freeview need an aerial?
A. Yes, is the short answer. While you can view some Freeview channels online, to watch all 155+ stations available you need a TV aerial. Freesat is an alternative to Freeview that is built into some smart-tv’s or accessed via a Freesat box. Freesat was made for poor reception areas that have few stations available via a TV aerial. Using the same satellite dish that Sky uses, it is an option to consider when choosing how you want to watch the large range of channels available subscription free.
Q. Can 4G or 5G Telephone towers interfere with Freeview reception?
A. Yes, unfortunately they can. However, this is less likely with high quality TV aerials which now come with filters built-in to block the 4G and 5G signals. If you are still experiencing problems, then visit https://restoretv.uk to see if you are eligible for free filters that plug into the same socket as your TV aerial, then your TV aerial plugs into the filter.
Q. Do Smart-TV’s have built-in aerials?
A. No, unfortunately they’re not that smart just yet. A Smart-TV comes with a variety of apps straight out of the box that can be accessed with a Wi-Fi connection. For the free-to-air channels provided by Freeview you need a TV aerial fitted externally or in a good reception area it can go in the loft.
